Investigation into the Treatment of Cattle and Horses at Charles Darwin University Mataranka Station - Vol 2

This report is about an investigation into the manner in which Charles Darwin University (CDU) managed livestock and conducted operations at the University’s Mataranka Station. The investigation was instigated on the Ombudsman’s Own Motion because of complaints made by people disturbed by the condition and treatment of cattle and horses at that property throughout 2009 and continuing into 2010.

Report of the Investigation into complaints from women prisoners at Darwin Correctional Centre

In early 2006 an investigation was launched by the Office of the NT Ombudsman into systemic concerns surrounding the conditions for women prisoners in the Northern Territory. The investigation followed a series of complaints being received from women at Darwin Correctional Centre.
